Skype makes its own art

Here's some still screen shots from a skype conversation. They look like strange abstract, cubist type portraits. Pretty cool.... even though it was frustrating trying to have a conversation when the video image was not working properly and basically looked like crap.

Final Piece

This is one about Chinese workers having multiple wives. Apparently it was fairly common for the men to have wives in both China and Canada, which proved problematic later in life.

This is the final piece for the Chinese Heritage illustrations. I'm fairly happy with the work and I think I got some great pieces out of the project. I really hope Rich is pleased. If possible I'll post a link to the final movie when it's complete.

enjoy.

So close to the end...

These are the 2 latest. This only leaves 1 illustration in this series.

Head Tax

This is one about the immediate head tax that was charged to all Chinese workers as they off-loaded the boats. The Head tax ensured that they had to work for the railroad until their debt was paid off. Not quite slavery but not far off. Disclaimer: I am by no means an expert on this subject. This may be wholly inaccurate. Apologies if it is.

Enjoy.
