Scribbles

Here's a typical page from one of my notebooks. Not one of my sketchbooks. This is from a book that I use for meetings at work, these doodles cause my bosses to think I'm not paying attention. What they don't understand is that I actually learn more while I'm doodling than I do when I'm "paying attention". I'm guessing a lot of fellow "artists" and creative type people feel the same way?

Brothel Island!

Here's a piece I did for fun. It's for an article that appeared on CBC.ca a few weeks back about a Toronto city councillor who proposed turning the Toronto island into a red light district. Ridiculous!

Anyway, the style is a bit too cartoony and it shows off the fact that I haven't been working as much as I should lately.... otherwise I find it mildly enjoyable.

And you should too.

Genetic manipulation

Here's an old one that I revamped a bit. It was made for an article about genetic manipulation of vegetables and the various consequences this process has on both the environment and the human race. It was really fun! This is different for me since this piece is entirely real world. There's no photoshop manipulation or colouring! Crazy!
