Pig Sculpture

Recently Claudia and I discovered that there must have been a trend in the 80's to have small sculptures of pigs having sex........ anything else I say now will have no impact on you.

This is a drawing of one of the two sculptures that we are now the proud owners of.

Enjoy.

APT - Ep. 14 - "Rent Party"

The APT has been on TV for a while now. Sometimes I get recognized and I feel like a big shot. Mostly not though. Check out the episodes on YouTube!

Enjoy!

Toys!

The toy gravy is flowing free.

I guess technically these have become closer to sculptures than toys. Still, I'm having a blast making them. Thanks so much to Liam for all his help on this!

Enjoy!

Fruity Boys

This is my re-interpretation of Reubens' "The Fruit Bearers"

This was done mostly because I was bored. But it was tons of fun. I may do more.

Making Molds

After 11 months I'm finally starting the process of making copies of my Bubblegum sculpture. My friend Andrew Finlay Stewart (there's a link to his website on the right) introduced me to a friend of his that works in the plastics lab at OCAD. Liam helped me make the mold of my sculpture tonight. It was pretty awesome! First we constructed a box to contain the mold, we used some chemical adhesive that instantly bonds the pieces of plastic together in a water tight seal. Then we mixed the silicone rubber (that cool blue stuff). Then we used a vacuum chamber to remove any air bubbles from the silicone to ensure a perfect cast. Now we just wait for the mold to harden and then we're off to the races!

Thanks Liam, I had a blast with you in the lab today!

Free Records!

Claudia and I met a woman named Jane yesterday who was tossing out a bunch of her old Vinyl. She was gracious enough to let us take what we wanted! I just wanted to say thanks Jane! You're awesome!!!

Halloween Film Festival!

It's been a while since I posted anything. I've been in hiding lately, not doing nearly enough illustration. What I did do was to watch 31 Horror movies this October to get geared up for Halloween!!! The build-up lead to the screening of the Shining at the Fox, which I did the poster for. Check the photo of my poster projected on the big screen in front of a sold out theatre! Crazy!
Also, I was dressed as Jack and Claudia as dressed as Wendy, Andrew was also dressed as Jack so we did a group photo. Halloween is for sure the best holiday of the year!
This is the list of Horror films I watched, granted very few of them were actually good, but the spirit of the holiday is what counts.

1) The House by the Cemetery 2) Demon Night
3) Prince of Darkness 4) Teeth
5) Cabin Fever 6) House of 1000 Corpses
7) House on Haunted Hill (1959) 8) The Devil's Rejects
9) Black Death 10) The People Under the Stairs
11) Vampires 12) The Burrowers
13) Warlock 14) The Thing (1982)
15) The Thing (2011) 16) From Beyond
17) The Fly (1986) 18) Night of the Demons
19) The Fly 2 20) The Ninth Gate
21) The Serpent and the Rainbow 22) The Hidden
23) The Hidden 2 24) Thinner
25) Videodrome 26) Paranormal Activity 2
27) The Fly (1958) 28) Clockwork Orange
29) Paranormal Activity 3 30) Alien
31) The Shinning

Have fun next Halloween!!!!!
