Tonight I challenged myself to do a painting in half an hour. I grabbed a random record (Sgt. Peppers) and painted a portrait of Paul McCartney (I'm like a twelve year old girl in the 1960's that way). I did the whole thing in 30 minutes, no pencil roughs. It turned out OK. It's not terribly interesting and the likeness isn't perfect but for 1/2 an hours work, I'm pleased.
Sometimes it's fun to play with ink and paint and see what happens. Maybe I'll do more of these personal challenges... there's three more Beatles after all.
